IA work experience

without comments

The IA team at the BBC runs a work experience scheme for students (and others) who want a short placement to learn about the practice of IA.

Placements are usually 2-4 weeks in duration and can be scheduled at any time throughout the year. We usually need 3-4 months notice but can occassionally fit someone it at late notice.

You’ll need to be able to get to White City in West London on a daily basis and cover your own expenses. Overseas applicants should check the advice on the BBC website about their eligibility for work experience in the UK.

You’ll get to experience daily office life, come along to our meetings and brainstorms, and we’ll find you a short IA project to get on with. You might be working on the BBC website, mobile phone services or interactive television, depending on what we have on our ‘slate’ at the time.

Go to www.bbc.co.uk/workexperience for more information and to apply. Or email me if there isn’t a suitable placement live on the website.
